A bottle rocket can be fun and easy to make. Here’s how to build and launch a simple bottle rocket using things you find around the house.
Things you will need:
2 bottles (two 2-liters bottles work great for a regular sized rocket, but if you want to build a mini-rocket, you can use a regular water bottle)
3 Fin material (thick card stock or thin cardboard would work well)
duct tape (to hold together your rocket)
a pair of scissors
a weight
a cap with hole
a marker pen
Rocket Launcher:
water and bicycle pump with needle valve

Steps:
1. Make a mark every 4.5IN on a
bottle.
2. Cut the top off one of your
bottles.
3. Tape the top onto the other
bottle.
4. Align the fins on the marks.
5. Put a weight on a cap.
6. Put the cap on your bottle.
7. Add 1/4 liters of water.
8. Pump about 20 full pumps.
