You
can buy small amounts of glycerin at your local pharmacy or you can
purchase it by-the-gallon online. Mix all the ingredients together and
get making bubbles! Bubbles will immediately pop when they hit a dry
surface. Enjoy long-lasting bubbles by refreshing your bubble wand often
and by keeping your environment wet.
Recipe 2: Homemade Colored Bubbles
You'll need:
1 cup granulated soap or soap powder
1 quart warm water
Liquid food coloring
Start
by dissolving the soap in the warm water. Then, stir in the food
coloring. Add in drops until you've attained your preferred color
intensity. Distribute the colored solution to each bubble blower in a
small can, cup or jar. Remember that food coloring can stain, so your
participants' attire should be considered before you begin.
Recipe 3: Fancy Homemade Bubbles
You'll need:
1 cup of water
2 tablespoons of liquid detergent
1 tablespoon of glycerin
1 teaspoon of sugar
Mix
together all the ingredients until the sugar is dissolved. Try using
household items to create wild varieties of bubbles. Now that you have
your homemade bubble solution mixed, select a suitable container for
your bubble activities. Jars and cups work well for small bubble wands.
Bowls, buckets and pales are good for medium sized wands. A tray or even
a box lined with a garbage bag are ideal containers for the large-wand
bubble activities.
You
can use different kinds of glow in the dark solutions. You can use
washable glow paint, or you can make your own. It can sometimes be hard
to find washable glow in the dark paint, so today I am going to be
showing you how to make your own solution using a highlighter pen. A
black light will be needed to see it glow in the dark.
How to Make Glowing Bubbles With a Highlighter
First,
we are going to open the highlighter pen. Pull out the felt inside, and
place it in a small amount of water. Let it soak for a couple of
minutes. Remove the felt, and add a small amount of bubble solution in
to the cup.
Next, turn on your black light.Using your bubble wand, start blow bubbles.
If
you do chose to use glow in the dark paint, add a ratio of half water
and half paint. These will glow in the dark immediately after being
exposed to light.
